Ross & Cromarty War Memorials

LOGIE EASTER

It is a slightly tapered pillar of light greyish granite, with a bevelled taper at the top. Then there is a crossed rifle and sword motif, and a scalloped, protruding ledge. All this stands on a darker grey granite base. The whole monument is surrounded by a low wall on three sides, with some steps. It is now enveloped by trees, and not as bright as above.

The monument is down a side road off the south side of the A9, signposted 'Logie Easter Cemetery', and in front of the Logie Easter Parish Church.

Names and inscriptions are on polished surfaces, and on three sides that is on the left and right sides. The 1939-1945 War names are on a separate panel at the base.

Location is approximately at map reference
NH 786 754 on Sheet 21.

On the front of the inscribed part are the following words.
