Ross & Cromarty War Memorials

MUNLOCHY

The memorial is a grey granite, slightly tapered column, topped by a cross with a recessed 'wheel', and standing on a raised platform, surrounded by a stone wall, about a metre high.

An opening in the wall has a metal gate, then there are circular steps on the right and left, leading on to a paved path with pebble fill-in around it.

The site is about a mile outside of Munlochy, at the junction of the B9161 and an access road to Drumsmittal and Kilmuir. It is marked 'Meml' on the Ordnance map at map reference NH646 523 on sheet 26.

The pillar has the following inscription below the Celtic design.
